Hello, travel lovers! Today, I’m bringing you a review of our girls’ trip experience at “Hotel Majestic” in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This hotel, which blends historical charm with modern comfort, is perfect for spending an elegant and luxurious time. And surprisingly, the price is quite affordable. So, let’s dive into its appeal!
Hotel Majestic Saigon: An Icon of Ho Chi Minh City
First, let’s touch on the history of this hotel. “Hotel Majestic Saigon” was built in 1925 and is located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. With its French colonial-style architecture, its magnificent exterior captivates you at first glance. The location overlooking the Saigon River is superb, and from the rooms, you can enjoy the urban and beautiful scenery unique to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s commercial hub.
It is still positioned as one of Vietnam’s premier luxury hotels, known as a prestigious establishment used for MICE events and even as a wedding venue. Despite being a high-end hotel by national standards, I learned that it’s possible to stay here very inexpensively due to factors like the cost of living, so I decided to use it during our Vietnam trip.

The first thing that greets you upon arrival at the hotel is the impressive lobby with its majestic interior. Magnificent chandeliers shine from the ceiling, and substantial furniture that exudes history is arranged throughout. During check-in, we received welcome drinks from the staff. These refreshing drinks made with tropical fruits helped ease the fatigue from our long journey. This thoughtful service is one of the charms of “Hotel Majestic.”

Relaxing in Antique-Style Rooms

We stayed in a Deluxe Room on Level 1 (first floor). The spacious room has a harmonious blend of classic furniture and modern amenities. The bed was plush and completely relieved our fatigue from the day. The bathroom was equally luxurious, with a marble counter and a large bathtub. The shower was also user-friendly, perfect for daily refreshment. The complimentary amenities were extensive, so you can rest assured even if you don’t bring anything with you.

From Room to Pool in an Instant

One of the special points of this hotel is the pool. The pool is located on Level 1 (first floor), and amazingly, it was right in front of our Deluxe Room! It was a luxurious experience to be able to change into swimwear in the room and then jump straight into the pool. The poolside is equipped with daybeds, allowing you to relax while reading a book or chatting with friends. It’s the perfect place to forget the heat of Ho Chi Minh City.

We had breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. It’s buffet-style, offering a variety of menus from local Vietnamese cuisine to Western dishes. Especially the freshly made pho and banh mi served at the live kitchen are exquisite, guaranteed to give you energy from the morning. The fruits and desserts are also fresh and delicious, making it all too easy to overindulge.

End the day at the rooftop bar
Another highlight is the rooftop bar on the 8th floor. Despite being in the city center, this hidden gem often has available seating, making it recommended for those wanting to experience Ho Chi Minh’s nightlife. From here, you can overlook the Saigon River, and especially on weekends, you can look down on the night shows up close. It’s a blissful moment to enjoy the beautiful night view with a cocktail in hand, feeling the night breeze. We also had a light drink and spent a wonderful evening.

Enjoying a Luxurious Time with Afternoon Tea
Also, “Hotel Majestic” offers afternoon tea. The Asian-inspired afternoon tea unique to Vietnam is superb in both appearance and taste. We enjoyed an elegant time with meticulously crafted sweets and tea. I’ll write about it in detail in the next article, so look forward to it!

Ultimate Relaxation at the Spa
A spa experience is essential during travel. Hotel Majestic’s spa offers the ultimate relaxation. They offer a variety of menus including traditional Vietnamese massage and aromatherapy. We had an aromatherapy massage, and its comfort was enchanting. Daily fatigue and stress were relieved at once.
In addition to the spa, there’s also a fitness gym and other facilities, making it possible to have a fulfilling trip just within the hotel
Excellent Access to Tourist Spots
The location of “Hotel Majestic,” towering in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, is also excellent. Since it’s within walking distance to major tourist spots in the city, it’s convenient for sightseeing. There are plenty of sights to see, such as Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace, and Saigon Cathedral. Also, there are many stylish cafes and restaurants nearby, making it perfect for a gourmet girls’ trip.
Luxury Feel at an Affordable Price
Now, after enjoying all this luxury, you’re probably wondering about the price. Actually, “Hotel Majestic” is very reasonable compared to hotels of the same level in other countries. When we booked, despite it being a last-minute reservation, we were able to stay for about $60 per person!
Vietnam’s relatively low cost of living is a major reason, but even so, it’s a very welcome price setting to be able to enjoy a budget-friendly trip at such a historically significant hotel. If you book early, you might be able to stay at an even better deal.
“Hotel Majestic” is, true to its name, an elegant and luxurious hotel that can be stayed at for an affordable price. If you’re traveling to Ho Chi Minh City, please consider choosing this hotel.
