Schedule of Java Jazz Festival 2023 (Confirmed)
Well, this is very simple. Over 10+ years, JJF has been sticking to the first Friday to Sunday in March, except only a few years, such as 2014 (Feb 28 – Mar 2), 2020 (Feb 28 – Mar 1) and 2022 (May 27-29). The exceptions apparenly only apply when the first Friday in March comes to 6 or 7th Mar as they may concern the following rainy season, although the JJF 2022 was technically postponed to May under the severe coronavirus situation in Mar.
So, we are pretty sure that the Java Jazz Fest will be held on 3-5 March 2023. They will come back to the regular schedule, probably, as long as there is no pandemic situation again.
Despite our predictions, they recently announced that they hold the festival 2-4 June this year! Don’t get confused and make sure you will not visit Jakarta in early March to enjoy nothing! Be there in the early June!
Ticket Price of Java Jazz Festival 2023 (Confirmed)
Although the cost that you pay might vary depending on the currency rate, an one-day pass ticket costs 40USD, and there seems no “Three-day-pass option” available this year. They are Special Show Tickets for some invited international artists that costs 11-13 USD per show. The artists that require the special tickets are explained in the later section of this article.
Venue of Java Jazz Festival 2023 (Confirmed)

Well, it might be a silly question for those who already atended the JJF a few times, but please let me note just in case anyone who has never been to the festival are reading this article. The Jakarta Java Jazz Festival has been always held at Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) in Kemayoran, East Jakarta.
Yea, that’s a huge venue capable to accomodate the largest audiences out of all the Jazz festival in Asia. There is no alternative, and there was no exception since the JJF has started, so we are very sure that in 2023 they will come back to the JIEXPO again.
Around the venue, there are almost nothing to enjoy. Basically what you need to do is, hire a taxi from/to your hotel and the venue by some local apps and get out of the crowd as soon as the performances finish (otherwise no taxis are left for you) and head right back to your comfy hotel to have some fancy cocktails.
