Hello, Disney lovers! This is Alessa, your travel blogger. Today, I’ve got some exciting information about Disneyland for you!
Disneyland, the dream world for both children and adults. Every visit is exciting, but what we always painfully realize is the overwhelming crowds. On weekends, it’s normal to wait 2-3 hours for just one ride. Even though you’ve come to Disney, it’s not uncommon to spend a lot of time waiting in line while fiddling with your smartphone.
But I have great news for you all. At Hong Kong Disneyland, you can enjoy any ride with almost no waiting time! This time, I actually went to Hong Kong Disneyland and experienced all the rides, so I’d like to write a detailed report!

Finally entering Hong Kong Disneyland!
In the previous article, we enjoyed touring the Disneyland Hotel early in the morning after arriving in Hong Kong on an early morning flight. As time passed, it finally became 10 AM, the park’s opening time, so we headed to the park again.

The park in the early morning had hardly any people coming and going, which made me a bit anxious, but now that it’s opening time, I wonder if more people have arrived. With mixed feelings of anxiety and expectation, we head towards the gate.
Hong Kong Disneyland: A world away from long queues
Even as we approach the gate, there are still hardly any people. At Tokyo Disneyland, it wouldn’t be unusual to see lines forming, but here, there’s no sign of any queues, which is quite surprising.
As we pass through the gate, we start to see a fair number of people, but compared to the crowded state of Tokyo Disneyland, it’s still quite sparse. This day was a Friday, which might have contributed to it, but could the rumors of zero waiting time be true??
The first thing that greets us is the colorful artificial flowers and the station building. This iconic station building exists in American Disney parks but not in Tokyo Disneyland, so I was immediately excited.
Let’s try some attractions right away
Now then, since we only had one day for Disney this time, we’ll be touring the park at a brisk pace. With the momentum to conquer all the rides, I tried several attractions right away. I’ll introduce them briefly without too many spoilers (I’ll write a more detailed article separately).
First up is Hyperspace Mountain, which I absolutely wanted to ride! Hong Kong’s Hyperspace Mountain is thoroughly Star Wars-themed, and it’s a must-visit Mecca for Star Wars fans, with a quality that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. By the way, the waiting time was only about 5 minutes.
It was a thrilling and immersive ride that made us feel like we were crew members of the Millennium Falcon, gliding through dangerous space filled with asteroids and enemy beams.
By the way, they also sell lightsabers in the souvenir shop. It’s nice that they’re foldable and can be stored compactly, so even LCC budget travelers like us can easily buy and take them home!
There are also plenty of MARVEL-related attractions, and the next one I rode was the Iron Man attraction. This one had a waiting time of zero minutes!
It was a ride full of humor, and it seemed to particularly hit the funny bone of the local Hong Kong people, as everyone was laughing out loud during the ride. It’s frustrating that I couldn’t take many photos during the ride, but seeing is believing, so please experience it for yourself!
Next is the Ant-Man attraction. This one also had zero waiting time. The photo is dark and hard to see, but during the ride, you aim at enemies with a laser gun and compete for scores, in a shooting game style. Be careful as your arms might get tired gradually.
After a series of intense action attractions, let’s take a little breather. We’ll ride Dumbo. This airship-like ride slowly rises and rotates.
The height is just right for those with a slight fear of heights to enjoy. You can control the height yourself, so let’s rise as high as possible!
Toy Story Land is a must-see!
And since we’ve come all the way to Hong Kong, the immersive Toy Story Land, which makes you feel like you’ve entered Andy’s toy box, is a must-see.
This is a ride shaped like Slinky Dog. You ride on a vehicle that feels like you’ve become part of the spring, whirling around the area.
Also, this Hot Wheels ride had the most screams in the park. You can experience the thrill of almost derailing as you ride on a Hot Wheel that moves back and forth on a semicircular rail. This is something unique to Hong Kong Disneyland.
I’ve briefly explained quite a bit, but it’s getting long, so I’ll stop here for now! In the next article, I’ll focus on the shows while providing a more detailed report of our experiences at Hong Kong Disneyland!
